What Functional Medicine Software Should Actually Look Like
July 8, 2026Covenant vs Contract
July 10, 2026The last couple of weeks have been huge for Esprē. We shipped dozens of improvements across charting, scheduling, prescribing, billing, and reporting. Plus a wave of behind-the-scenes reliability work. Here’s everything new, and a peek at what’s coming next.
Smarter Charting
Your chart is where you spend most of your day, so it got the most love:
- Live version adding to charts — build and update chart content in real time without reloading, so your notes stay in sync as you work.
- AI Scribe & AI Summaries improvements — cleaner, more reliable auto-generated overviews and summaries so your documentation writes more of itself.
- Follow-up instructions on charts — capture follow-up guidance right where it belongs, directly in the chart.
- Chart autosave fixes — tightened up autosave so nothing you type gets lost.
- Polished chart redactor styling — a cleaner, more readable editing experience.
- Admin controls to unsign a chart or lab, and unclose an invoice — mistakes happen; admins can now safely reverse a signature or reopen an invoice when needed.
Scheduling & Appointment Reminders
- Appointment reminder fixes for both on-site and telehealth visits — more reliable, correctly-timed reminders that reduce no-shows.
- Appointment data table fixes — faster, more accurate scheduling views.
Billing, Subscriptions & Payments
- Fixed overcharging when changing provider counts — subscription changes now bill correctly, every time.
- Updated subscription pricing and onboarding plan options — a cleaner path from signup to active practice.
- Invoice inventory and live invoice updates on charts — invoices reflect changes immediately.
- Payment terminal bug fix — smoother in-person payments.
Reporting & Insights
- New integration-partner reports — track partner details and growth over time.
- Lab request tracking by practice — see lab volume (results and orders) per practice at a glance.
- Month-over-month charts — switched key report charts from year-over-year to MoM for more actionable trends.
- Program summaries now include paused and completed programs for a complete picture.
Reliability & Data Integrity
- Field-length limits across the app — patient dashboard, office notes, referrals, physical exams, treatment plans, services, procedures, labs, products, health alerts, rooms, equipment, vendors, and purchase orders now enforce max lengths that match the database, preventing truncated or lost data.
- Assessment engine fixes (Esprē Core) — resolved retake and “Next” button issues for a smoother patient assessment flow.
- Infrastructure hardening — subdomain support for program cron jobs, batch-size concurrency limits for background jobs, and expanded internal documentation.
- Multiple providers, locations, and inactive-practice safeguards — better support for larger practices and guardrails that prevent actions on inactive practices.
Coming Soon
We’re just getting started. Here’s what’s on the near-term roadmap:
- AI Scribe — automatically turn your visit into structured chart notes so you can focus on the patient, not the keyboard. AI Scribe is currently in production testing with a select group of practices, and we’re rolling it out more broadly soon.
- Native AI Chatbot — a built-in AI assistant for instant, conversational access to your practice information across Esprē, so answers are always just a question away.
- Fullscript Integration — seamless supplement dispensing and recommendations built right into your workflow. Currently in testing, with a wider release on the way.
Thanks for being part of Esprē. As always, we’d love your feedback it directly shapes what we build next.
